First, thank you.

Thank you very much for opening this page, it means the world to us.

Our shelter relies on kindness and generosity to be able to continue our work with the animals. A donation (either one-off, or regular monthly amount), no matter how small, can make a major difference to the animals in our shelter.

Your donations will help us to buy the necessary food, medical supplies, vet care, rent for the shelter, and pay our worker. When there are enough funds, it can also help us improve our environment, which is very much needed.

We want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to numbers. Scroll all the way down for more information, and don't hesitate to contact us if you would like more information.

How to donate

How much to donate?

Any amount helps
Either one-off, or regular monthly amount, no matter how small, you can make a difference to the animals in the shelter.

90rm supports 1 dog for 1 month
For basic needs like food and shelter, it comes to about 90rm to cover the spending for 1 dog (excluding medical bills). You can even choose the dog you wish to sponsor, and receive personalised updates! *as long as possible with available time

600rm supports all dogs and cats for 1 day!
We need about 180 kg of dog kibbles per day & 10 kg of cat kibbles per day, which costs about 600rm today

Our main spendings

Food
With 350+ animals to feed, food is the biggest bill. We buy kibbles to be given daily, and add fresh food when we can afford it.

600rm spent on food every day for 350+ animals: 180 kg of dog kibbles and 10 kg of cat kibbles per day

Vet supplies & support
Whether it is to buy medication for the dogs in our shelter, perform surgery for the injured or sick ones, or neuter and spay, vet bills can be extremely expensive and unpredictable.

We neuter an average of 3 dogs and 1 cat a week.
We unfortunately also care daily for injured or sick animals, requiring vet attention, which is expensive and cannot be predicted.

Shelter & bills
We have a few locations, with rents and utilities to pay. These are predictable monthly bills that can add up.

2 workers
With the amount of work that has to be done every day, and the limited volunteer help we have, we need at least 2 full-time worker to care for the animals.

Other
As much as we try to plan and predict spendings, we are being called every day for many types of situations. We always assess whether we can afford to, and are able to receive new animals, but sometimes we just have to help. And it generates new unpredicted spendings (like a group of young dogs who need to be captured and neutered).
